She never imagined she’d be strong enough to pick up the pieces and build something new. But she did, she said “yes” and she was proud of herself…and so very thankful. :: What a year. From paralyzing heartbreak to a sprained ankle to a shut-down gym to strep throat to the bestie moving cross country to the passing of a friend to big travel to changing relationships to absolute nutty experiences peppered in between…this year may have been one of the most pivotal yet. And no doubt the most rewarding. :: I said yes to the twists. Yes to the turns. Yes to my feelings. Yes to the love in my family. Yes to change. Yes to my needs. Yes to all that I am–even the parts that bother me. Yes to my friends. Yes to spontaneity. Yes to the rain. Yes to the pain. Yes to the past, present, future. Yes to my actions. To my choices. Yes to vulnerability. Yes to life; yes to my life. Yes to me. :: And through it all, I realized just how much I have to be thankful for. I’m thankful for my strength and my journey. I’m thankful for my zest. I’m thankful for my power. I’m thankful for my amazing family and friends. I’m thankful for the new friends and the long-lost friends who have reached out to me along the way. I’m thankful for this life. Above all, I’m thankful for all the love. I wouldn’t have, couldn’t have, gotten to where I am today or become who I am today without the love, the support, the encouragement…And I’m feeling big time grateful for all of it. Thank you, friends and family, for adding so much color to my life and for joining me on this journey. Happy Thanksgiving, y’all. xofi
