“There is only one time when it is essential to awaken. That time is now.” :: Ever since I started traveling more than usual, Maui started to say good morning and goodnight just like this. It starts off as a little shoulder hug and then gets a bit awkward when she doesn’t move. Because, like, now what? :: I’m smiling partly because she’s adorable and mostly because I had a really good day yesterday. I got to work on something I hadn’t done in an embarrassing amount of years. I tossed the things. Climbed a pretty steep hill. Turned my home into *my* home. It was tough to look at everything I had been avoiding. The things I had learned to live around. But cleaning it out helped me acknowledge the past, smile about it, appreciate it and truly let it go…with every toss to the the garbage shoot. Spring cleaning. Spring cleansing. Spring awakening. Thanks for pushing me to do the work, friends. And happy spring, y’all. It’s time to wake up. 💫
